Gram studied Cambria as she drove. They'd been on the road since four forty-five in the morning and it was close to noon. It had taken longer than expected to get as far as they had. All the road construction and alternative routes added extra time to the trip. Eventually Cambria had changed her plans; she was going to go through Wisconsin instead of Iowa due to all the road construction. That would throw those two goons off for a while.

Cambria pulled off the interstate and stopped at a gas station/Subway where she refueled her truck. After she refueled her truck, Cambria went over to the Subway and ordered a foot long BLT, no tomatoes, Chips, a chocolate chip cookie and a bottle of iced tea. While she ate she looked up close by mechanic shops.
